The data collected is stored on a server in the data centre of Bundesanzeiger Verlag GmbH, Cologne. The data is transmitted using secure SSL encryption. After successful transmission to the tax authorities, the XBRL instance file including the transmission protocol, the transmission time and the transmitting user is stored permanently in eBilanz-Online for documentation purposes. However, the data can be deleted by the user at any time.
If you do not wish to store data temporarily or permanently on external servers, you have the option of installing eBilanz-Online on your company’s server.

The data entered in eBilanz-Online is transferred to the above-mentioned server via a secure SSL connection and from there to the ERiC (Elster Rich Client). The servers used are hosted in the data centre of Bundesanzeiger Verlag GmbH. The highest security requirements apply here. We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data. As both the protection of privacy and the protection of our business customers are of particular importance to us, we will treat your personal data confidentially in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.
Tax secrecy will be maintained. What is transmitted to the tax authorities is deliberately kept technically separate from disclosure to the Federal Gazette. To ensure that disclosure data is not transmitted to the tax authorities unintentionally, eBilanz-Online ONLY generates a file for separate submission to the Federal Gazette. This also ensures that tax data is not published in error.
A registered user is automatically assigned administrator rights that allow them to deactivate or delete other users they have created for their account. If you wish to be permanently deleted as an administrator, you can cancel the user contract in writing, by fax or e-mail at any time with one month’s notice to the end of the month. The credit balance for transfers that have not been carried out will be refunded to the account notified with the cancellation after deduction of the processing fee (20 euros plus VAT). If the credit balance is less than EUR 20, the remaining credit balance corresponds to the processing fee and no refund will be made. Please note that all data will be deleted from the provider’s servers if the account is cancelled. This data cannot be restored at a later date.
